38 wounded, 6 dead across US after sighting 4 mass shootings

Police in Cleveland, Austin, Chicago, and Savannah on Sunday were all investigating the mass shootings that began around 9 p.m. on Friday and went on for six hours straight through Saturday morning.

Savannah Police Chief Roy Minter, Jr. said at a weekend news conference after one person was killed and eight others that “It’s very disturbing what we’re seeing across the country and the level of gun violence that we’re seeing across the country. It’s disturbing and it’s senseless,”.

Mayor of Austin, Texas Steve Adler said “But this crisis requires a broader, coordinated response from all levels of government, One thing is clear – greater access to firearms does not equal greater public safety.” He adds that the mass shooting occurred even as the police department in texas initiated multiple violence prevention programs intended to combat a recent increase in shootings in the Texas capital city.
