Welcome To BantuFest
FOUNDERS NOTES
When I had an idea to start a festival that celebrates different arts and cultures here in the US, I could never have predicted how big of an impact it would create. To me, this organisation is my way of celebrating culture and touching as many lives as I can – and you’re all welcome to join me.

ACTIVITY
BantuFest Cultural Festival
This annual event held in Los Angeles is a
celebration of cultures all over the world
through food, music and drama. Those that
have been represented include India,
Bangladesh, Guatemala, Rwanda,
Namibia, Cameron, Puerto Rico, Congo,
Ghana, Scotland and Native Americans.
Superior Woman Awards
So many women out there have the
potential to promote change on a grand
scale and transform their communities, yet
they lack the opportunity to do so. The
Superior Woman Award aims to shine a
spotlight on them and give them a chance
to be seen and heard like it should be
youth rehabilitation center
As an organisation founded on the Arts, we
are well aware of the challenges artists
face – with some getting depressed or
opting for drugs as a result of repetitive
failures. These centers are our way of
restoring hope by helping them return to
their best self so they can start anew
Outreach
back to school aid program
This involves giving school going children scholastic materials such as books to help
them stay and excel in school. We do this
partly because it is common for many
children, especially in rural areas, to
abandon education because of lacking the
necessities required in learning.
food for all
Not everyone has access to food, despite
the fact that it is a human right. It falls upon
us to work together in encouraging food
security through agriculture. We believe
that everyone must have access to a
garden where they can grow vegetables
and other food crops for food and income.
dress up initiative
Every year we select a community to
benefit from this. We teach tailoring to the
girl child and then provide sewing
machines so they can earn a living from
their newly acquired skills. Furthermore, we
donate clothes and beddings to the
vulnerable in that community
