Fighting continues between State security forces and non-State armed groups . The people living in the North West and South West continues to suffer the impact of armed clashes and insecurity, ranging from exposure to crossfire and abductions to explosions from improvised explosive devices. The UN Department of Safety and Security reported over 11 improvised explosive devices incidents in December last year.
