One killed and five injured in recent bomb attack at a bar in Kampala

Police spokesman Fred Enanga said the bombers ordered food and drinks at the bar, before placing a plastic bag under a table, suggesting the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device chance flagging it as an ‘act of domestic terrorism’. Uganda bourse launches digital platform for opening securities accounts

The Ugandan bourse has partnered with MTN to provide a digital platform for opening securities accounts, making it easier and cheaper for retail investors to participate in the securities market. MTN Uganda Mobile Money technicians were still putting final touches on the system on Wednesday to also facilitate buying and selling of securities through mobile phones.
