WHO: German pledges to provide $1.22 billion to support the ACT

Germany has become the first country to answer a call for wealthy nations to contribute their “fair share” towards ending the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported on Tuesday.

The country has pledged to provide $1.22 billion to support the ACT- Accelerator, the partnership for fair access to tests, treatments, vaccines and personal protective equipment. (PPE)
